In this simple, self paced course you will learn how to extract dye from the leaves of the Cotinus bush (Smoke bush), how to lake it to separate pigment from supporting liquid to extract the solid colour in a pigment form.
The process is simple and perfect for a beginner.
The pigment extracted will be dried and can be used to make printing pastes or watercolours (tuition non included)
It is possible to substitute the Cotinus plant for Euphorbia Cotonalia
